2022 Art Biennale Event | An exclusive dinner for Charline von Heyl and Cosima von Bonin

On the occasion of the 2022 Art Biennale, we designed an exclusive event for Galerie Gisela Capitain in Cologne and Petzel Gallery in New York in honor of artists Charline von Heyl and Cosima von Bonin.
Respectively a painter and a sculptor, von Heyl and von Bonin were included amongst the most influential personalities of the 59. International Art Exhibition. To celebrate them, we planned a passed hors d’oeuvres dinner with Venetian specialties in the wonderful halls of Ca’ Sagredo Hotel among the famous paintings by Andrea Urbani. Poufs, armchairs and small sofas in shades of blush pink and petroleum blue welcomed guests for a dinner party overlooking the Grand Canal, while the warm light of candles was reflected on mirrored gilded tables decorated with floral arrangements and peacock feathers.
The same compositions adorned the base of the majestic entrance staircase, which was to play a fundamental role during the event, to recall the theme of the 2022 Art Biennale, The Milk of Dreams, masterfully chosen by the curator Cecilia Alemani. Thus, guests “stepped” into a mirror and were greeted by stone creatures, crossing the threshold of the imagination.
Between aperitif and dinner, the musician Matt Haimovitz delighted those present with an unforgettable and unprecedented performance, playing a cello by Matteo Goffriller, built in Venice in 1710.
The evening then concluded with typical Venetian cocktails and desserts.
