How much does a wedding in Venice cost? A practical guide on civil weddings
If you’re wondering how much a wedding in Venice costs, this post contains all the pricing information you need for a civil wedding, which can take place in one of the stunning halls of Palazzo Cavalli, with a a breathtaking view on the Canal Grande and Rialto Bridge, or at Palazzo Ca’ Vendramin Calergi, in the splendid Cuoi d’Oro Hall or in the garden.
You can book a date using the online form in the Venice municipality website at least 7 days before the wedding date to be entitled to online rates. If you live in Venice and wish to get married during service hours, i.e. from Monday to Saturday, from 8.45 to 1.00 pm, If, on the other hand, you prefer your wedding to take place outside office hours, there are three possible options:
– Weekdays: 400,00 € (420,00 € with on-site rates)
– Days before public holidays: 450,00 € (500,00 € with on-site rates)
– Public holidays: 700,00 € (750,00 € with on-site rates)
For Italian citizens who do not live in Venice and EU citizens, getting married in Venice during service hours costs 600,00 € (700,00 € with on-site rates). The prices for a civil wedding, outside office hours, are, however, the following:
– Weekdays: 1.100,00 € (1.300,00 € with on-site rates)
– Days before public holidays: 1.300,00 € (1.500,00 € with on-site rates)
– Public holidays: 1.600,00 € (1.900,00 € with on-site rates)
And, lastly, citizens who are not members of the European Community can get married during service hours at a cost of 1.600,00 € (1.900,00 € with on-site rates), or outside office hours, at the following prices:
– Weekdays: 2.000,00 € (2.400,00 € with on-site rates)
– Days before public holidays: 2.300,00 € (2.760,00 € with on-site rates)
– Public holidays: 3.500,00 € (4.200,00 € with on-site rates)
If you opt for the Cuoi d’oro Hall at Palazzo Ca’ Vendramin Calergi, your civil wedding will cost 5.000,00 €.
