A romantic wedding in the Venetian setting of Giudecca and Torcello islands
Our romantic couple dreamt of an Enchanted Garden Wedding in Venice. We found the perfect location in the Torcello island, one of the oldest settlements in the Venetian lagoon, where reality and legend intertwine. The well-known Locanda Cipriani was, thus, turned into a place suspended in time.
Before reaching the reception location with water taxis, guests attended the religious ceremony. It was a touching moment, accompanied by the melodious sound of a string quartet, that took place inside theChiesa del Santissimo Redentore in the Giudecca island.
In terms of wedding design, we opted for a natural/organic style, a romantic and elegant mood and a delicate color palette based on off-white, ivory, sage green and robin’s-egg blue. The floral arrangements were created according to the concept of “perfect asymmetry”. Jasmine branches, gardenias, roses, eucalyptus and magnolia leaves were positioned following their natural shapes. The goal was to give the impression that they blended with the furnishings and grew spontaneously around them. Just like it would happen in a garden full of objects left by some magical creature.
The newlyweds, both passionate about literature and cinema, found details from their favorite stories in their table signs and in their tableau mariage, both created in the shape of books and decorated with customized illustrations. Furthermore, butterflies and winged keys, recurring elements in several set-ups, made this wedding even more magical, decorating the porches that led to the enchanted garden.
The area in which wedding favors were placed, some hourglasses enclosed in natural paper boxes, was lit up by suspended candles. Whereas, the wedding cake cutting moment, which took place near a tree, was spectacular thanks to four sparkular firework machines and sparkles that were distributed among guests.
No detail was left to chance while designing and planning this Enchanted Garden Wedding in Venice. Guests felt like they were in a fairytale, as if every element surrounding them was created by a writer of fantasy novels.
